“I created Project Pollen to help bring more awareness to a very serious issue - the global pollinator population decline. After working in the gardening industry for several years I’ve noticed the lack or absence of incentives to act sustainably. I’ve managed properties that were overrun with invasive species, covered in artificial grass, and had almost no biodiversity and yet they were paying the same cost for maintenance as a neighbouring property that had a much more sustainable, beneficial, and diverse landscape. But I also realized that there may be a deeper issue here - a lack of education and awareness. It was this moment where I felt a burning desire to create what is now Project Pollen - A purpose-driven gardening company that focuses on raising awareness and rewards individuals who act sustainably.”
