What are Pollinators?
A pollinator is an animal that aids in the transfer of pollen from the male reproductive organs of a flower to the female reproductive organs. Some examples of pollinators are: bees, butterflies, birds, moths, flies, beetles, and wasps.
Why are they important?
Pollination is the first step in a process that produces seeds, fruits, and the next generation of plants. It is essential for the fertilization and reproduction of many plants. Approximately 75-95% of all flowering plants on Earth need help with pollination.
